Cannot save - encoding error

No help available anywhere. Sorry, this looks like an awesome editor but shame on me for not looking at the dates of the other reviews.
I get a Text Encoding Error "Cannot write data using your currently specified encoding. Please try changing the encoding in the options window.”
I try to change “western Mac OS Roman” but then run into all kinds of errors.”
I would take this review down in a second or chnage to 5 stars if this was fixed.
